Lawrence County 911

Mission Statement

Committed to providing seamless 9-1-1 emergency services to the citizens and visitors of Lawrence County, Missouri in a competent, responsive, effective and reassuring manner through the development of a consolidated 9-1-1 center in Lawrence County.

Overview

The Lawrence County Emergency Services Board built a dedicated, stand-alone 911 Emergency Communications Center; operations began in our new facility on September 27, 2023.

Our new 911 Emergency Communications Center handles 911 calls for all of Lawrence County, including Aurora, Freistatt, Halltown, Marionville, Miller, Mount Vernon, Pierce City, Verona, and Stotts City.

The Lawrence County 911 Emergency Communications Center dispatches the following emergency services:

Law Enforcement — Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and Aurora, Marionville, Miller, Mt. Vernon, Pierce City, and Verona Police Departments.
Fire — Aurora, Freistatt, Halltown, Marionville, Miller, Mount Vernon, Pierce City, and Stotts City Fire Departments; Aurora, Miller, and Monett Rural Fire Departments; and Miller Rescue.
Medical — Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District (Primary PSAP Barry County) and Mercy Ambulance District (Primary PSAP Mercy Dispatch)

Thank A Dispatcher

Dispatchers are the first responders behind the scenes that hear the very first cries for help while doing their best to calm the caller, get the important information to give responders  while getting the proper assistance to those in need. Very often, the dispatchers working the calls do not get appreciated for the stressful work they do day in and day out.
